Frontpage Set Up Instructions

There are two possible ways to use FrontPage 2000 with RLC's web server.

Direct Connection
A direct connection to the server through FrontPage 2000 allows you to create and update all your web content from FrontPage Explorer without the use of uploading. This takes full advantage of the FrontPage Extensions that come preinstalled with your webspace. This will also enable you to have the use of access counters, guestbooks, forms, etc. without having to upload the extra files that FrontPage needs to make these features function. This method is recommended for use by beginners.

Uploading
You can also use FrontPage 2000 just like any other FTP client by creating your web page on your machine locally, then upload the files to the web server. Any extra files FrontPage needs to make its features function (ie. counters, guestbooks, etc.) will need to be uploaded as well.
This method is recommended for use by advanced users only.
